I am truly honored to serve as the principal of Stonehurst Hills Elementary. It is a privilege to work with such an amazing group of students, families, and staff who share a deep commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all.

At Stonehurst, we believe in supporting the whole child. Our teachers and staff work together to ensure that every student feels valued, encouraged, and ready to learn. Through social-emotional learning, small-group instruction, and individualized academic support, we help students develop the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential.

A cornerstone of our school community is the 3Bs—Being Safe, Being Respectful, and Being Responsible. These core values guide how we learn, interact, and care for one another each day. Students are taught and celebrated for demonstrating these behaviors in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and playground. By living the 3Bs, we build a strong, positive school culture where every child can thrive.

We are proud to have a dedicated and caring staff at Stonehurst. Our teachers, counselors, and support staff are committed to helping every student succeed, both in and out of the classroom. Their passion and dedication make Stonehurst a warm and welcoming place for all.

Hello, Stonehurst Hills Elementary School Families!  

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!  I hope that your summer was joy-filled, restful, and full of new experiences.  We’re bubbling with energy and excitement as we anticipate the start of another year! 

My name is Ernest Patrick, Assistant Principal (and biggest fan!) of Stonehurst Hills Elementary School.  My job at Stonehurst is simple and simply stated: I’m here to make sure that every student is having their best day, every. single. day. Period.  Everything else falls into place when there is a relentless and intentional focus on your child’s well-being. So, if you know anything about me and the kind of environment I work hard to cultivate, you can expect your child to arrive each morning to a place where they feel safe, happy, and eager and able to learn.

I’m excited for the opportunity to build and bond our Stonehurst family alongside Principal, Mr. Desmond Chisholm. I’ve learned tons from him already, and I can see that his love and passion for children almost rivals mine! :-)  It is a pleasure to support Mr. Chisholm as he continues the important work of making Stonehurst a place where both students and staff love to be. Our students will be challenged to grow this year, but they will also be loved and supported in that growth. Looking forward to an amazing year!
